Find an appropriate level of travel baseball.

The fit matters.

The organization’s mission emphasizes matching players and parents with the appropriate level of commitment and coaching. A tryout should therefore be more than a test of ability: it is an opportunity for families to understand the expectations of the team.

Before contacting a team

• Know your player’s age and baseball experience.
• Consider the amount of travel your family can reasonably support.
• Think about the player’s development goals.
• Ask about practice, tournament and financial expectations.
• Make sure the coaching environment fits the player.
